San Francisco Bay Area, October 21, 2026. Blankspace today opened a store that fits the room it is shopped for. A buyer sets their room once, with one photograph and one measurement, and from then on listings, the home page and search are ranked and sized for that room, so the pieces that fit come first.
Every seat can now be ordered at any width within its design’s range. The price and a scale sketch of the room follow as the width changes, and the chosen width is carried through the bag, checkout, the build tracker and the certificate of provenance that each piece now receives.
A buyer can also describe the piece, the room and the way they live, add a photograph and their sizes, and receive a written brief with up to three real pieces, priced, dated and sketched to scale on their photograph, or a custom brief the studio’s makers can quote from.
The same day, Blankspace opened its materials library, a private client service for whole homes and estates, a maker programme for independent workshops, a documented front door for AI agents buying on a client’s behalf, and the full site in European Portuguese.
