2Orders
An order is placed when you complete checkout or sign an order with your advisor. We send an order confirmation by email, and the contract is formed when that confirmation is sent.
Every Blankspace Italia piece is made to order to the configuration and covering you choose. Please check your selection carefully before confirming: the dimensions, configuration, covering and colour on the confirmation are the ones we will make.
3Prices and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars and include the duties needed to deliver to the United States. Sales tax is calculated at checkout according to the delivery address.
Made-to-order pieces require a 50% deposit when the order is confirmed and the balance before delivery is scheduled. Quick Ship pieces are paid in full at checkout. We accept major credit cards and bank transfer; card details are handled only by our payment provider.
4Production and delivery
Made-to-order pieces are built after your deposit; your advisor confirms the lead time for your piece before production starts. Quick Ship pieces are delivered in one to three weeks. Your advisor will confirm your delivery window, and we will contact you to book a day and time.
White-glove delivery, room-of-choice placement, assembly and removal of packaging are complimentary on orders over $3,000. Please make sure the piece can pass through doorways, stairs and lifts: your advisor can confirm access measurements before production begins.
Risk in the products passes to you on delivery. Please inspect every piece in the presence of the delivery team and note any visible damage on the delivery receipt.
5Changes and cancellations
You may change or cancel a made-to-order piece without charge within 48 hours of the order confirmation. After cutting has begun, a made-to-order piece is personal to you and cannot be cancelled, and the deposit is not refundable, except where the law of your country gives you a mandatory right to do so.
6Returns
Quick Ship pieces may be returned within 14 days of delivery, unused and in their original condition. Contact client care to arrange collection; the cost of return delivery is deducted from your refund, which is issued to the original payment method within 14 days of collection.
Made-to-order pieces, pieces in a covering supplied or chosen as a special request, and floor models are not returnable unless they are faulty.
7The nature of natural materials
Leather, wood, stone and natural fibres vary from one hide, log or bale to the next. Small differences in grain, shade and marking from a sample or photograph are the signature of a natural material and are not defects. Screens also show colour differently; your advisor can help you compare coverings before you order.
8Warranty
Blankspace Italia pieces carry a 10-year warranty on frames and springing and a 2-year warranty on coverings, mechanisms and electrical components. Blankspace Editions warranties are set out on the warranty page. These warranties are in addition to, and do not limit, your statutory rights.
9Intellectual property
All designs, photographs, illustrations, texts and trademarks on this site belong to Blankspace, its designers or its licensors. They may not be copied, reproduced or used for commercial purposes without our written permission.
10Liability
We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
11Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and the state and federal courts located in California have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring proceedings in its courts. EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform.
