Four teams make a Blankspace piece, from the first line on paper to the day it is placed in a client's room.
Design studio
Draws every piece, from the first sketch and cut-paper study to the final prototype.
Making and upholstery
Builds, springs and upholsters each frame by hand, to order.
Advisors
Guide each client through size, covering and lead time, by video or in the Bay Area.
Delivery and care
Bring each piece to its room, place it, and look after it for years afterwards.
3Where we work
Our team works across the San Francisco Bay Area, in the studio and in clients' homes, and with partners worldwide. Advisors work with clients by video from anywhere.
4Who we look for
People with taste, patience and pride in their craft. Experience matters, but so does curiosity: many of our artisans learned the trade with us.
